Here we will tell the story of the beginnings of our church and how we became what we are today.

Pastor Bob first felt call to start a new Church in Minot shortly after moving to ND in 1995.

·         In March 2007, Pastor Bob suffered complications from a back surgery that paralyzed him from the waist down. Between 3/21/07 and 5/11/07 he received three miracles that saved his life, got him off of a walker and out of a wheel chair and walking without a cane.

·         In June 2007, Pastor Bob went through a pain management program. It was during this program that Pastor Bob felt the push from God that it was time to move into the call to start a new Church.

·         In August 2007, Pastor Bob contacted a Pastor of another Minot conregation to solicit his assistance in renewing his ministerial credentials.

·         August 2007 through October 2007, This Pastor and Pastor Bob met weekly for prayer, Doctrinal studies and assisting Pastor Bob in preliminary Church planting research.

·         In October 2007, this Pastor and his family felt led from God to partner in the vision with Pastor Bob and his wife in the Church plant of SLCF.

·         December 5th, 2007, SLCF had its first Bible Study and began building the core group for the Church plant.

·         January 26th, 2008, The Minot Daily News included a short article on SLCF in the Church Bulletin section.

·         March 1st, 2008, We moved into our permanent Church Building and held our dedication service.

·         March 10th, 2008: KMOT-TV in Minot featured SLCF on the evening news. The full story is available on KMOT.com (Or click here to see a copy of this news article)

March 1st 2009 We will have been in the building a whole year and our having a week long Revival. Our church is steadily growing.  We thank God everyday for this miracle.
